When you open the door to the 2025 GMC Sierra 1500 Denali’s Crew Cab, you will be struck by the level of luxury that comes standard in this truck. The seats are upholstered in perforated leather. This makes them extremely comfortable and luxurious, with the ability to breathe, providing better temperature regulation. So not only do they look great against the open-pore wood and patterned aluminum accents, but they also feel great.

GMC has gone above and beyond with the standard comfort and convenience features of the 2025 Sierra 1500 Denali. The front and rear outboard seats are heated, which you and your passengers are sure to appreciate on cold morning drives. The steering wheel is wrapped and heated as well, providing improved grip and comfort.

GMC has also given the Denali ventilated front seats. This provides cooling to both the seat backs and cushions, helping you cool off faster on hot summer afternoons. There are three levels of fan circulation, letting you and your passenger choose the right one for the moment. This feature will work together with the dual-zone automatic climate control to set the right temperature for each side of the cab.

Some of the Sierra 1500 Denali’s comfort features will also reduce driver fatigue. The front seats have 12-way power adjustments, letting you easily choose the right position. They also have a power lumbar feature that will reduce stiffness in your back, especially on long drives.

Technology

Infotainment

The 2025 GMC Sierra 1500 Denali reaches rare heights regarding its tech, which is one of the key ways it stands out from most other full-size pickups. It starts with a GMC Premium Infotainment System, which comes with a 13.4-inch touchscreen that is user-friendly. Simply connect your phones using wireless Apple CarPlay or Android Auto, and you are ready to go. This will allow you to safely make hands-free calls and texts. You can also use voice commands to utilize this system without taking your eyes off the road or your hands from the steering wheel.

The infotainment system is not just about utility but fun. Google Built-In allows you to access some of your favorite apps and stream your favorite music, letting you set the scene for the perfect drive in your Sierra 1500 Denali. This truck comes equipped with a Bose Premium sound system, too, for high-quality audio with an almost concert-like sound.

The Bose system has seven speakers strategically placed throughout the cabin. There’s also a Richbass woofer to capture all of the low tones. The only issue will be choosing your preferred music, since the GMC Premium Infotainment System not only lets you stream from your smartphone but also through a trial subscription of SiriusXM, giving you so many channels of music, entertainment, comedy, sports, news, and talk.

Driver Assistance

Technology not only keeps you connected and entertained in the 2025 Sierra 1500 Denali, but it also keeps you and your passengers safe. This truck has one of the most comprehensive suites of driver assistance features, all part of the GMC Pro Safety suite. The Following Distance Indicator will let you know if you are getting too close to the vehicle in front of you. If the other motorist slows down or comes to a stop, the Forward Collision Alert will sound, so you can take evasive action, while the Enhanced Automatic Emergency Braking will bring your truck to a safe stop or reduce the impact of an unavoidable collision.

One of the most common causes of highway accidents is changing lanes; this is especially true if you have a trailer hitched to your truck. The Sierra 1500 Denali comes with standard Trailer Side Blind Zone Alert, which will account for the full length of your truck and your trailer when you go to change lanes. This is all part of the standard trailering technology on the Denali, which also includes Hitch Guidance and Hitch View that use the HD Surround Vision camera in the back of your truck to help you guide the Sierra 1500 Denali into perfect alignment when hitching the trailer.

Convenience

Many folks worry about being able to parallel park a full-size pickup truck on a street. GMC has included front and rear parking aids on the Sierra 1500 Denali that alert you if you are getting too close to another vehicle while parking. The truck also has front and rear pedestrian braking aids, which will automatically engage the brakes if the system detects the presence of a pedestrian, so you won’t have to worry about striking someone when parking your truck.

One of the most exciting features is Super Cruise, a semi-autonomous driving tool available on the 2025 Sierra 1500 Denali. This feature allows you to drive your truck hands-free on certain mapped highways, helping reduce fatigue when driving on long trips. Simply engage the system on specified highways, and you are ready to go.

Engine Options

GMC has equipped the 2025 Sierra 1500 Denali with a V8 engine standard, with the option of choosing two others. The standard 5.3-liter EcoTec3 V8 gas engine comes paired with a ten-speed automatic transmission. It delivers up to 355 hp at 5,600 RPM and 383 lb-ft of torque at 4,100 RPM, enough power to get you from 0 to 60 mph in just 6.1 seconds.

The two other engine options are a larger V8 gas engine and a turbocharged diesel engine. The 6.2-liter EcoTec3 V8 also comes with a ten-speed automatic transmission. It has Dynamic Fuel Management technology to improve fuel economy while providing up to 420 hp at 5,600 RPM and 460 lb-ft of torque at 4,100 RPM. As a result, this engine provides improved acceleration, taking just 5.4 seconds to get from a standstill to 60 mph.

The final available engine on the Denali trim is the 3.0-liter Duramax Turbo-Diesel. This six-cylinder diesel engine uses a turbocharger to boost performance, providing an impressive 305 hp at 3,750 rpm and 495 lb-ft of torque at 2,750 RPM. This engine is designed for high-weight, low-speed towing and trailering, so while it won’t win you any awards for speed, it will still get to 60 mph in an acceptable 6.8 seconds.

Towing & Hauling

One of the reasons why drivers choose a full-size pickup truck is for its utility. This is certainly the case with the 2025 GMC Sierra 1500 Denali. Not only is this truck luxurious, but it is also capable. Depending on which engine and drivetrain you choose, you will be able to tow large trailers or carry heavy cargo in the box bed.

When equipped with a 5.3-liter V8 gas engine, the 2025 Sierra 1500 Denali can tow up to 11,200 lbs. This increases to 13,000 lbs with the 6.2-liter V8 gas engine, while the Duramax Turbo-Diesel gives you a maximum trailering capacity of 13,200 lbs. Conversely, choosing the 5.3-liter V8 gas engine will actually provide the greatest hauling capability, allowing you to carry up to 2,150 lbs of cargo, compared to 1,890 lbs with the Duramax Turbo-Diesel and 1,820 lbs with the 6.2-liter V8 gas engine.

GMC gives you a number of choices on this truck. You can choose between a rear-wheel drivetrain and a four-wheel drivetrain, with the latter giving you better traction at the cost of slightly lower fuel economy figures. In addition, the Denali comes with a choice of two payload bed sizes. The short bed measures 5.8 feet long and provides 62.9 cu.ft. of cargo space, while the standard bed is 6.6 feet long and provides 71.7 cu.ft. of cargo space.

Fuel Economy

Despite its size, the 2025 GMC Sierra 1500 Denali delivers solid fuel efficiency. When equipped with the 5.3-liter V8 gas engine, you can get up to 18 MPG combined in rear-wheel drive. This is eclipsed by the 26 MPG combined of the Duramax Turbo-Diesel in rear-wheel drive. The 6.2-liter V8 gas engine is only available on Sierra 1500 models with a four-wheel drivetrain; this nets you 16 MPG combined.
